Lens on Lennox Photography Competition 2021 - entry

Theme: Lennox Head, Then and Now


The Lens on Lennox Photography Competition attempts to capture and highlight the essence of this wonderful village and to instil a sense of pride in everything that is Lennox.

We recognise that Lennox Head had a rich indigenous history with key areas of significance being the Bora Ring and Lake Ainsworth. In 2022 it will be one hundred years since the first sub-division and land auction and the naming of Lennox Head and Lake Ainsworth. Our Facebook page will have over 100 photos from earlier days. We would like you to use those as inspiration when highlighting Lennox Head in the present so future generations can look back just as we are doing now.


Competition details:

Sections:

  • Junior (12 years and under)
  • Open

    • Category 1 - 'Lennox Head, Then and Now':

  • Total Prize money $500 - sponsored by First National Byron Bay and Lennox Head.

    • Category 2 - 'Disappearing landmarks and endangered natural features':

  • Total Prize Money $100 - sponsored by Lennox Head Heritage Committee.


  • Entries open 22 March and close 23 May 2021.
  • Fees: $10.00 per photo / $5 per junior entry.
  • Enter as many times as you like. Photos will be selected for inclusion in the Special Edition Calendar. If your photo is not included in the calendar it may still be selected for a major display during 2022. So, come on! Be part of this venture. Let’s highlight Lennox ‘Now’. Let’s feel a bit of nostalgia, get a feel for how life was then and really celebrate what we have now. All proceeds go towards supporting our community.
  • Please ensure that the entry is your original photograph/s and if your entry includes an identifiable image of any person you have the consent of that person/s to use their image.


    • To enter you need to:
    1. Click on this link & complete the online entry form & agree to terms & conditions.
    2. Pay the $10 entry fee per photo ($5 for juniors) by visa/mastercard/paypal on the payment section on the entry form. Enter as many times as you like.
    3. And don't forget to attach your photo/s to the online entry form.
